ATV/Snowmobile trails:
Loggers Lodge is located at the head of endless atv trails. Surrounded by thousands of acres of crown land even the most experienced rider can find a new trail. No need to trailer to the trail, you can leave right from the lodge and be ridding great trails in 2 min. Calabogie trails offer a great variety of difficulty levels from beginner all the way to expert. On a typical 2 hour ATV run you can expect to see multiple different small lakes, sand pits, mountain views, narrow technical trails, as well as wide open fast riding trails. If you are not familiar to the area please touch base with us asking what trails we suggest. During winter months, some atv trails are converted to snowmobile trails. Please check out ofsc.on.ca for current snowmobile trail conditions.

Hunting/Fishing:
Calabogie lake offers excellent fishing. You can fish right off the dock or venture out on the lake to find the best spots. The cottage is located only about 300m from a well known Walleye hole. This hole is easily reachable using the canoe or paddleboat from the cottage. With depths of up to 101ft Calabogie lake is home to Northern Pike, Largemouth and Small mouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Perch, Rockbass and Channel Catfish. Looking for a more secluded adventuress fishing experience? Check out one of over 50 small trout lakes in the mountains all on crown land. Find small quiet lakes stocked with Rainbow trout and Brook trout. Many of these lakes are accessible by atv or snowmobile in a matter of minutes. Some are accessible by car/truck, others by hiking. These lakes are an excellent choice for Ice fishing. Check out the Ontario fishonline interactive map to plan your next fishing adventure. Located on the south side of the lake, Logger’s Lodge is an excellent spot to host hunters. You can leave right from the Lodge on an atv and be at your favourite secluded hunting spot in a matter of minutes. The lodge is surrounded by 1,000’s of acres of crown land. Alpine ski/cross country ski:
Looking for a day out on the slopes? Calabogie Peaks resort is located only 20min away from Logger’s Lodge. Take a quick drive through the town of Calabogie and stop in one of the local restaurants/ bar on your way back for a warm meal. Calabogie Peaks is eastern Ontario’s tallest ski resort, and offers a good variety of runs for skiers, snowboarders and tubing. For cross country skiing, and snow shoeing, check out the Madawaska Nordic trail network https://www.greatermadawaska.com/en/play-and-discover/things-to-do.aspx. You can also venture out on your own right out of the door from Logger’s Lodge and explore endless back country trails.

Boating:
Calabogie lake is a great lake for all types of boating. There is much to see and explore if you want a calm relaxing tour cruising around and checking out different landscapes. The lake is also water sports friendly with plenty of space and calm glass water bays for the best waterskiing experience. There is your very own small private boat launch right out the door at Logger’s lodge, perfect for aluminum boats or small fiberglass vessels. If you have a bigger boat, you can launch just 18min away at Barnet park (Clabaogie’s public boat launch). While cruising on the lake stop in at the Calabogie peaks tikki bar and sand beach with boater friendly docks, enjoy some hot food and cold drinks, play some beach volley ball and boat back to the cottage after a day of fun, only a 5-10 min boat ride away. You can also boat to the Calabogie highlands golf course or to the Calabogie Lodge to enjoy a nice meal at On the Rocks. Jet ski, fishing boats, pontoon boats, and cruiser boats available for rent at the Calabogie Marina, Urban sports.

Golf:
For a good challenging one of a kind 18 hole course with mountain views, high elevations, and lake front par 3’s we strongly suggest you check out the well maintained Calabogie Highlands golf course, located only 10min away from Logger’s Lodge. The course is also accessible by boat or ATV. The course also offers a separate 9 hole experience. For something more casual to do with novice golfers we recommend the Calabogie peaks 9hole par 3 course. You can boat to this course in 5-10min or drive around the lake in 20min. Day passes are available which include unlimited golf for the day and access to the Peak’s indoor pool and hot tub.

Hiking/walking/Rock climbing:
If you want to go on a quick walk, small hike or a long unmarked hike and explore at your own risk, just walk out the door of the Lodge and explore the crown land. For a marked trail experiences and free at your own risk rock climbing, check out one of many marked hiking trails in Calabogie. Check the Calabogie Peaks Fall view chair lift ride. Take a ride up the mountain and walk on the summit to see panoramic views!

Calabogie Motorsports Park:
Check out the world famous formula 1 style race track; Calabogie MotorSports Park. This is Canada’s longest racetrack. You can buy tickets to be a spectator for a race, or even rent a car and race yourself. Please visit the Calabogie MotorSports Park website for more info and event dates. Track is located only 15min from Logger’s lodge.
Village of Calabogie
The village of Calabogie is only about 15min away from the lodge. In town you can find almost anything
you need. There is a small local grocery store (Charbonneau’s Family Grocers), An LCBO and Beer store combined, a general store selling almost anything you can think of, from fishing gear, to hardware, camping gear, tools, etc. Other shops include: Ice cream and chip trucks, a paddle shack renting kayaks, e-bikes, paddle boards etc., a small artisan market (soaps, candles etc.) ATV and snowmobile rentals, boat rentals, café, bars, restaurants, dispensary, pharmacy, pizza shop, marina, public parks, library... etc.

Bars/Restaurants:
There are many bars and restaurants to choose from in Calabogie, check out the list bellow.
-Red neck Bistro: one of Calabogies favourites, the bistro has over 20 beers on tap, country bar setting
offering great simple food like heavy hamburgers, wraps, salads, steak, etc.. Only a 15 min drive, by car
or ATV.
-Calabogie Brewery: Excellent beer, good food, great patio overlooking the Madawaska river. Live music
on some days, (dog friendly). Only a 15 min drive, by car or ATV.
-On The Rocks (Calabogie Lodge restaurant): World class drinks and the absolute nicest patio with
spectacular view of the lake. Private table rental on a raised patio available, perfect for group
celebrations. Good food ranging from elk burgers to duck, and charcuterie boards on steroids. Only a
17min drive or 5-10 min boat ride away.
-Canthooks Restaurant (Calabogie Peaks restaurant): A Swiss inspired menu, great apps, good drinks,
mountain views from inside the restaurant. Only 20 min by car or 5-10min by boat.
-Calabogie Pizzeria: a good variety of pizza with fair pricing. Delivery available or pick up in town about
17 min away.
-Ohella Cafe: Coffee and pastries, located only 15 min away by car
