A centennial property at the head of Calabogie lake. The cottage is believed to have been built by Captain Kennedy near the end of the log driving era in the 1930's.

The Madawaska river system, feeds through Calabogie lake to then continue on until it reaches the Ottawa river.  This majestic waterway was once used as a transport corridor for timber. The beautiful waterfront we see today was once filled with 30' pine logs coming downstream from High Falls.

Before the cottage was built the property was a camp for loggers and river drivers working on the mighty Madawaska. Many discarded personal items from the era have been found on the lake shores.
